The ILCA High Load Downhaul Two Block Primary System is the perfect solution for replacing or upgrading the primary section of your existing downhaul. When paired with a single lower block, it creates an 8:1 purchase system, or a 10:1 purchase system when used with a double lower block, providing the mechanical advantage needed for precise sail control in all conditions.

At the heart of the system are two Allen 30mm High Load Tii-On Blocks fitted with stainless steel sheaves. Unlike standard plastic sheaves, these significantly reduce friction when heavily loaded, allowing the downhaul to run more freely and consistently, particularly in stronger winds. While the stainless steel sheaves add a small amount of weight, the gain in efficiency and ease of adjustment makes this an excellent choice for performance-focused sailors.

The system is supplied with a 4mm SK78 Dyneema primary line, chosen for its exceptional strength and minimal stretch characteristics. A professionally spliced eye provides a secure attachment point, with the option of a covered eye splice to prevent snagging when using a carbine hook.
